Integrated Management Information System for National Parks
TANAPA wished to manage and regulate the use of areas designated as National Parks by means and measures to preserve the country’s heritage, encompassing natural and cultural resources, both tangible and intangible resource values. Tanzania National Parks needed to ensure optimum levels of revenue and benefits are accrued to the national economy, the parks and communities without impairing park resources. In an effort to efficiently carry out its mandate, Tanzania National Parks acknowledged the need for an Integrated Management System to further improve the National Parks responsiveness to stakeholder’s needs by automating its Financial Management, Revenue Management, Point of Sales, Ecology Management, Conservation Management and Fleet Management System.
